Full-time Healthcare Analyst

at Vaco - Nashville in Tennessee | TN Jobs

Primary Responsibilities

Research, analyze, plan, recommend and implement solutions to solve problems and address issues within the scope of the position applying business experience and knowledge of data analysis.

Writing SQL queries to create end-user reports and perform data-mining.

Producing reports using Excel and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Perform data scrubbing, quality checking, and usability analysis to identify anomalies, which need to be addressed prior to delivery of analytic results.

Develop, implement and revise detail provider profiling analysis to identify trends from the cost and utilization perspective.

Lead the creation of custom reports, programs and databases to address identified issues with sophisticated solutions to acquiring needed information.

Provide statistical data trends to various departments corporate-wide.



Qualifications

3+ years of experience working as an analyst in the health care industry, particularly with administrative healthcare claims and provider data preferred.

Expertise in developing complex, legible and well-structured scripts, queries and stored procedures in SQL.

Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and security requirements as it relates to healthcare data.

Experience in data mining and analytic data transformation.

Experience working with large data repositories and/or relational databases.

Experience using database programs, spreadsheets, and word processing, including all components of MS Office.

Expertise in MS Excel, with proficiency using formulas, PivotTables, linked worksheets, graphing and other reporting and presentation features.

Advanced analytic skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Bachelor\\\'s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services.

Strong knowledge of SQL Server database structures and SQL programming.

Excellent computer skills, strong leadership qualities, organization and project management skills.

Ability to quickly adapt to changes in both technology and business environments.

Ability to analyze data, and apply investigative skills in resolving issues.

Ability to analyze and interpret data through complex analysis.

Ability to provide responsive functional and technical support to a diverse population of users.

Ability to produce clear, written operational instructions and supporting documentation.

Ability to troubleshoot technical and functional problems.

Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.

Ability to conduct training as needed.

Strong customer service and positive attitude.

Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
