Full-time Project Manager

This position will provide leadership in defining/implementing improvement initiatives in their Asset Management program. This project manager will lead key managerial stakeholders and executives in the development of an overall strategy and roadmap to improve and streamline the core business processes used to plan, design, build/construct and maintain Transmission assets over a multi-year horizon.
Lead in the creation of clear problem statements associated with current practices and organizational ineffectiveness
Develop clear vision and scope statements that will guide the roadmap for improvement initiatives
Lead in the identification of organizational alignment and culture change required to advance improvement efforts
Develop an overall roadmap depicting all efforts required to achieve improvements
Create project plans, resource strategies and develop funding estimates required to advance each defined effort
Facilitate meetings between a variety of departments and crafts
Define assessment approach and deliverables
Set the project up for success by identifying and securing necessary subject matter experts needed during the project
Lead the creation and documentation of revised processes and roles
Facilitate and maintain consistent communication with the project sponsor, performance managers, and clients on the progress of the project versus the plan
Communicate regularly with executive sponsors, key stakeholders, strategic partners, and Tier II managers across the agency independently and in team meetings.

Project Team Coordination, including milestone management and communication of deliverables
Manage issues and risks identified within the project as well as cross organization integrated dependencies and the issues and risk associated with those assumptions.
Coordination with Enterprise Architects to include business and data requirements to support business intelligence requirements and common information model needs
Team Meeting Management; and Sponsor Meeting Management
Lead and/or support the following deliverables
Scope Definition and Management
Business Requirements and Needs Analysis from various stakeholder perspectives
Process and System Design requirements
Gap Analysis from the as is to the to be state
Implement Organizational Design and Change Management requirements
Implementation Planning including optimizing milestones and building upon successes
Integration Architecture Design and End User Training
Bachelor*s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Organizational Development, Computer Science or a related field is required.
Related Experience – Direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
10 years work-related experience in Project Management or a directly- related area.
PMI or PMP certification is required.
Experience in Resource planning preferred.
10+ years work-related experience in Project Management experience preferably in the Electric Utility sector with an emphasis on transmission assets
Experience developing options, evaluating and recommending plans for asset management strategies is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint); (MS Office 2010 proficiency required).
Experience with MS Project, MS Outlook Project, Visio, Access is required
Experience with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Strong analytic and decision making abilities
Problem solving and root cause identification skills
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Ability to lead project team and management review and decision making sessions supporting organization level improvement efforts
Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution. Must have the ability to interact effectively at all levels of a large company
Ability to navigate through competing priorities in order to get tasks completed
Valid State Drivers License
Travel may be required * 5%
OT may be required * 5%

Meet timelines, milestones, deliverables and provide timely status updates
Understand and follow established regulations, processes and procedures
