The System/Network Administrator will be part of the Infrastructure Team and responsible for assisting in the design, administration, security, performance, availability, and troubleshooting of the environments that support NorthMarq Capital and NorthMarq Companies business systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in System Administration, specifically focused on backups, and a solid understanding of Network Administration.

The successful candidate for this position will be a motivated self-starter and leader that interacts well with IT team members. Additionally, the candidate is expected to act professionally with internal and external customers. Some travel and off-hours work may be required.

Essential Accountabilities:

Provide in-depth technical and design expertise on infrastructure (systems, network, and storage) projects for business.
Administer systems as assigned to provide appropriate documentation, cross-training, capacity management, and recommendations for future state.
Ensure all systems maintain quality uptime and are configured appropriately.
Perform routine security checks on all systems.
Schedule and coordinate installations with users, facility management, IT technicians, contractors, and vendors.
Act as a technical lead and mentor other IT personnel.
Install new software release and system upgrades; evaluate and install patches; and resolve hardware and software-related problems and follow vendors Best Practices.
Regularly monitor performance of the server environment.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend possible enhancements to systems or network components.
Align company with new technologies when appropriate.
Act as 3rd level support for all aspects on the Infrastructure side.
Must be disciplined, dynamic and flexible to manage multiple projects and tasks, work effectively in a rapidly changing environment and meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines.
Must be able to operate autonomously with little supervision to achieve desired goals
Work weekends/nights on occasion for maintenance or critical system failure.

Qualifications:

7+ years of network/server administration experience. 2-3 years experience managing and maintaining backup processes.
5 to 7 years Active Directory administration experience.
5 to 7 years Exchange administration experience.
Solid understanding of security and system administration best practices.
3 to 4 years Hyper-V administration experience (including Clusters).
Candidate must have the ability to complete tasks with very little supervision and superb ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Technical Competencies:

Required:

Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Domain Trusts, Group Policy, PKI, Certificate Services for Windows Server 2003 and newer.
Exchange 2010 and newer.
Virtualization and Clustering (Microsoft Hyper-V).
Possess an excellent understanding of operating systems and applications, networks and moderate to high level software and hardware troubleshooting skills.

Desired:

Powershell scripting.
Familiar with technology trends, examples include but not limited to cloud computing, BYOD, SIP session management etc.
Experience with data center consolidation and migrations.
SourceOne/Email Extender.
Thorough working knowledge of SAN – Compellent/Nexsan Administration and maintenance for iSCSI and Fiber.
Microsoft System Center.
Radius servers.
ITIL, MOF training/certification
