Moss Adams LLP is currently seeking IT Audit Staff candidates for our Sacramento/Stockton office to work in our Moss Adams Advisory Services practice. IT Audit services are performed in support of the firm’s public accounting business assurance practice and often involve Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as well as other auditing services, including SSAE 16 audits. In addition, we provide IT Consulting services including technology assessments, strategic technology planning, security consulting, system selection, and workflow engineering. As an IT Audit Staff, you will gain knowledge of the firm's assurance and consulting services. You will assist project managers in performing various consulting and auditing engagements.
Responsibilities:
Reviews of client IT, accounting and operating procedures
Performance of internal control test work and prepare supporting work paper documentation
Participates in the preparation of audit reports
Performs technical research to solve issues that arise during the course of various audit engagements
Performs consulting activities that include conducting interviews, reviewing documents, performing a variety of analysis, and preparing client deliverables such as cost/benefit analysis, findings and recommendations, and reports
Supports project start up activities such as developing project work plans, budgets, and schedules, and attending kickoff meetings
Travels to client locations to work onsite and attends Moss Adams industry conferences
Attends training on a regular basis to maintain continued professional education standards
Participates in pre-audit planning for engagements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; emphasis in information technology, computer science, business or finance field preferred
Minimum of 1 year of experience in information technology, demonstrating a steady growth of skills and responsibility
Outstanding time, organization, and project management skills
Ability to multi-task and set workload priorities in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Critical thinker and creative problem-solver
Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and work independently
Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy
High degree of professionalism and integrity
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to travel up to 20-50%
