Full-time Progammer Analyst

Purpose of Position
Provides systems and database support for the college*s Ellucian Banner enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and related systems. Specific responsibilities include analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of ERP systems and other administrative applications running on a variety of hardware and software environments.
Provides technical advice and support to users including troubleshooting issues, creating reports and data extracts, and data analysis. Works closely with the Database Manager and collaborates with Business Analysts, Banner programmers, and functional-technical leads to manage all aspects of the ERP system for the college.
Responsibilities
1. Works with users to create new functionality within the college Banner system, and related systems, to aid in the improvement of the accuracy, automation, and timeliness of various activities.
2. Supports end users on a daily basis in order to ensure system functionality is working properly for them.
3. Serves as the administrator of Evision’s Product Suite (MAPS Server, Argos, Intellicheck, and FormFusion), Banner Workflow, and Clean Address.
4. Learns new technologies, and updates knowledge of our existing technologies and systems, in preparation for changing needs of our business systems.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor*s degree is required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute for up to two years of education. Previous experience working in a similar role in a higher education preferred.
2. Experience working with Oracle, UNIX, Linux, programming and developer experience using: SQL, PL/SQL, Java, HTML, web development. Automated workflow model development experience a plus.
3. Experience in analysis, requirements gathering, coding, and testing for technical business system components. Ability to work directly with technical support and functional end users is critical.
4. Must be able to assess business needs and propose solutions leveraging experience and the collective knowledge of the Banner ERP support team
5. Must be able to quickly research technical solutions, adapt them for our business processes, and deploy those solutions.
6. Must be able to schedule and balance projects, education, support, and administration on a day to day basis with limited supervision.
