We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can connect the in-store experience to the digital environment by creating scalable and seamless multi-channel experiences without losing the brand we are known for. Individuals in this role will have opportunities to gain a large breadth of knowledge by working with experts in the eCommerce, multichannel retail, product management and software engineering fields.

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead an engineering team in an agile environment building solutions for the Product Information product. The key to the success of this position is having strong & innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal, formal and informal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail.

Use your skills, experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As an Engineering Manager, you-ll take the lead as you-

- Manage overall software development cycle, driving best practices and ensuring development of high quality code for common assets and framework components

- Build and lead a team of high caliber software development engineers

- Architect and develop the best technical design and approach

- Manage and execute against project/agile plans and set deadlines

- Drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build and deployment

- Manage cross-product technical dependencies and drive resolutions to conflicts

- Advocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of the domain architecture

- Ensure code adheres to all development & security standards

Minimum Requirements

- 8+ years of e-commerce engineering (software development) experience

- 3+ years of managing software development teams with a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects

- Strong expertise architecting and designing solutions on Java/J2EE JEE architecture using Spring, Struts, Apache and EJBs

- Knowledge of iQuery and related UI frameworks; Ajax essential

- Knowledge of Integrating with 3rd party via a Synchronous and Async methods

- Knowledge of thread dump, heap dump analysis required for performance tuning

- Knowledge of Continuous Integration required while knowledge of Continuous Delivery practices is preferred

- Strong sense of ownership

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

Desired Requirements

- BS degree in computer science or equivalent

- Domain expertise in retail

- Experience operating large scale systems

- Experience working in an agile environment (i.e. user stories, iterative development, etc.)

- Experience with test-driven development and software test automation

- Knowledge of WCS (Catalog, PDP, eMarketing Spots), Commerce Webservices, Commerce Management Center preferred
