Acentia seeks a Technical Standards/Enterprise Architecture Analyst to join our team.

The Technical Standards/Enterprise Architecture Analyst will advise and assist client executives and their subject matter principals on enterprise-wide system improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: Enterprise Architecture; IT Technical Standards; Healthcare IT Data Standards; IM/IT Integration, Governance, Policy, And Program Management; Information Systems Architecture; Software Development Methodologies; Life-Cycle Management; and Interoperability with Other US Government Agencies. Provide functional and technical recommendations for complex to extremely complex processes and systems in the subject matter area.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

Being a technical standards subject matter expert, reviewing and interpreting them, and recommending their implementation
Advising and assisting internal stakeholders; performing compliance reviews and documentation audits. Interacting and collaborating with external stakeholders and other government agencies. Managing and coordinating the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations; producing written deliverables and briefings that will be seen by senior decision makers
Becoming/being familiar with healthcare information technology (HIT) related technical and data standards (e.g., HL7, X12, CDA, DICOM), and healthcare industry medical terminology and nomenclature. Monitoring changes to individual standards, the broader IT/HIT standards environment, and related Department of Defense, Federal, and Industry policies and guidance. Reporting potential impacts to likely internal (and external) stakeholders
Researching and analyzing topics and issues affecting MHS EA, and preparing related recommendations, briefing materials, and informational papers. Maintaining awareness of changes or new activities occurring in the areas of, but not limited to, Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), Federal Health Architecture (FHA), Global Information Grid (GIG) Architecture, Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES), DoD Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and Federal, DoD and MHS data management. Reporting potential impacts to likely internal (and external) stakeholders
Developing, maintaining, and revising Military Health System (MHS) Enterprise Architecture (EA) policies and guidance; reviewing Federal, DoD, and Industry EA policies and guidance, and providing comments and recommendations on the impact of these on the MHS
Maintaining the MHS Baseline Standards Profile. Assisting with production and maintenance of the MHS EA Standards Profile (StdV-1) and Standards Forecast (StdV-2) in conformance with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF)
Coordinating and supporting meetings, teleconferences, and data calls

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of five years subject matter related experience
Demonstrated experience defining problems, analyzing requirements, and developing plans and recommendations in the subject matter area. Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, policy/procedure/process development, and communication (verbal, written, and presentation) abilities.
Working independently and as a part of small teams in a fast-paced environment, where the goal is to earn the client, partner, and competitor respect through superior performance. Managing and working on multiple routine and ad hoc requirements concurrently
Proficient in the use of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite of products (Outlook, Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint).

Desired Experience:

Experience with computer systems/network architecture design, software design or the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), or the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) methodology
Knowledgeable of and familiar with DoD policies and guidance covering IM/IT standards and system acquisition
Experience with compliance databases/repositories/registries similar to the Department of Defense Information Technology Standards Registry (DISR).
Background in healthcare IM/ IT with the Military Health System, other government agencies, or in industry
Proficient in the use of the DoD Information IT Standards Registry (DISR), Microsoft Project, or requirements management applications (e.g. IBM Rational DOORS or Serena Requirements Manager)

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Advanced degree in engineering or business (desired)

Clearance:

Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
U.S Citizenship is required for this position as per contract requirements

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to move about for extended periods of time; frequently required to move about to access facility equipment such as fitness machines, weights and other fitness equipment/office machinery.
Will be required to reach overhead, bend, and lift objects of up to 25 lbs+.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include use of computer monitor screens up to 80% of time.

Work Environment:

Individual’s primary workstation is located in a fitness center within a Government facility.
The noise level in this environment is low to moderate.
