Full-time SharePoint Administrator

SCOPE: O365 Global Intranet – SharePoint Online 2013

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Perform SP Administrative duties including but not limited to managing & creating site layouts, structure and content, creating and maintaining workflows, capacity planning and site storage
Provide typical SharePoint administration roles (farm administration, site collection admin/configuration/architecture consulting etc.).
Serve as site point person; ensure users follow procedures and best practices.
Educate users on use of site; alert them to FAQs, CBTs, etc.
Enforce site standards.
Provide operational support and maintenance for the system infrastructure.
Ensure enforcement of the Governance Plan already in place.
Understand routine maintenance tasks and processes and be responsible for data recovery support such as recovering deleted items from 2nd stage recycle bin.
Provide Tier 2 support of the SharePoint application to end users.
Create effective support system with proper channels for escalation.
Respond to application questions, bugs, and other problems requiring resolution.
Compile/communicate reporting across multiple site collections.
Develop customized and personalized solutions for departmental and divisional sites.
Review Storage Allocation Reports and advise/alert LOB triage on quota limits, unused sites
Ensure adherence to enterprise retention policies.

Excellent people skills essential. This person must be professional, accountable, reliable, a team player and be experienced at communicating positively and effectively internally and with business units.
This person should possess good analytical skills for determining the root-cause of issues and for troubleshooting when previous or in-progress updates require assistance in repairing.
The individual must have the ability to listen to business processes being described and turn them into possible solutions that meet or exceed the users’ needs, along with technical subjects of how SharePoint behaves into understandable ideas or analogies.
The individual must make an effort to turn opportunity’s (issues) and/or conversations into a training event, ‘teaching users to fish’, along with teaching all levels of courses on collaboration to many types of students.
The individual needs to understand both sides of an issue, helping all parties to reach a decision that is the best option for the platform, and the company, as a whole.
They must be able to not just keep the user base working well, but drive how the platform will function and be utilized from the perspective of the user-experience story in the future through a combination of investigation, user-needs conversations, and best practices garnered from the outside community.

REQUIRED Experience:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 6+ years of Information Technology professional/Technical experience with Microsoft technologies.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working directly with SharePoint either as Administrator or Senior Developer.
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or IT related discipline.
Extensive knowledge and experience with SharePoint - 2007/2010 and 2013. Experience with Office 365 & SPO essential.
B&R, Archiving, Records Management and Compliance experience essential, eDiscovery a plus.
Experience working closely with project team to develop proactive policies and processes.
Excellent people skills essential. Must be a team player and able to communicate positively and effectively.
Practical experience in the SharePoint Governance arena.
Highest level of judgment, discretion and integrity dealing with confidential and/or sensitive matters.
Collaborative work style with experience interfacing with various teams (technical and non-technical) to identify and resolve issues and implement effective solutions.
Self-motivated, team-oriented professional with a collaborative nature.
Progressive trouble-shooting, investigation and problem solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively identify and mitigate issues.
